The season ends on a high note as UWSP Artist-Teacher- Associate Professor of Piano Raffi Besalyan performs Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.2, op. 18 in C minor. Besalyan has gained world-wide acclaim and has been hailed as the “true heir of the mainstream of Russian pianism, like Horowitz” (Chopin Magazine, Japan) The CWSO’s 63rd season is ushered out as powerfully as it came in with Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.
