Pass The Baton Fundraiser

Help support the CWSO this Summer by participating and/or donating towards our 4th Annual Pass The Baton Fundraiser.

CWSO Board President, Bruce Barnes, had a fundraising idea in 2020 when he biked 500 miles entitled Opus 500. In 2021 we expanded the event to include more CWSO participants and activities - it is now called "Pass The Baton."

Last year, our participants logged over 2,000 miles and raised over $3,500 for the CWSO!

This year, we are looking for further participation from CWSO musicians, board members and community supporters. Is that you? Email Tessa Taylor, Executive Director at if you're interested in joining the cause and logging miles for our campaign.

Each participating CWSO musician, staff member, board member or supporter continue the relay journey by biking, hiking, running or walking.

Follow our journey from May - September 2023!

It will start with Bruce Barnes documenting Mozart's journey. From Mozart to Beethoven, Bruce will complete a virtual ride from Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, to Bonn, where Beethoven was born.

Bruce Barnes continues his journey through June. He has logged 434 miles in total.

Tessa Taylor logged 50 walking miles in July.

Casey Danielson, CWSO horn player, will ride through August. Her goal is 300 miles.

Casey Danielson, CWSO horn player, will ride through September as well.
